After a long time some good news for Darksiders 4 fans.
THQ Nordic is ready to make a big announcement regarding one of the longest-held action franchise, Darksiders, during its Digital Showcase on August 1st.
In a “save the date” update on its Discord servers including the Darksiders Discord, a ‘Titan-Sized’ Showcase promises to deliver world premiere announcements, updates, as well as hints and surprises.
One surprise may just be Darksiders 4.
Here’s what the post reads;
Titan-Sized Showcase Ahead – THQ Nordic’s Gonna Entertain You August 1st!
Saddle your horses, rev your engines, and hold your breath – THQ Nordic’s Digital Showcase 2025 is charging back onto your screens in just a few weeks!
This year’s showcase promises a feast of world premiere announcements, fresh updates on previously announced titles (yes, including some long-awaited release dates), and – you guessed it – a few surprises we didn’t hint at already… or did we?
Mark your calendars for Friday, August 1st, 2025, at 12:00 PM PDT / 3:00 PM EDT / 8:00 PM BST / 21:00 CEST / 10:00 PM EEST.

The speculation stems from the 2023 THQ Nordic showcase, which was meant for 2024. The showcase held a deep-dive cinematic trailer which either hinted at a remake of the Darksiders original game or a sequel to it.
While fans were split, a quote from Tom Moore, Marketing Manager at THQ Nordic, tipped the scales:
“It won’t be long until we reveal more about where the Darksiders series is going next, but for now, know this… the Four Horsemen will ride again.”
The statement is a strong indication that we are looking at a new Darksiders rather than a remaster or a remake.
And don’t forget, the developing studio for the next Darksiders game is Gunfire Games, so I think this is definitely Darksiders 4. Combine this with the fact that this Xbox Wire post referred to the game as “The Future of Darksiders,” it is safe to say that Darksiders 4 is officially getting a reveal in August.
